Music Made in Second Life featuring Micheal
With little to no vocal boundaries or limitations, Micheal ‘MJ’ of Micheal LIVE, who has been singing since he could barely talk and before he could walk, has taken the world by storm both in virtual and physical reality.
He realized and developed his vocal ability at a very young age as a member of his grandmother’s church choir, made up of some of her younger grandchildren. This included Micheal and it wasn’t long before he became the lead singer of that choir, however, always thinking about others, he made sure his fellow choir members were given the same opportunity to lead in songs.
Growing up, Micheal was captivated by the sound of music. He could hear it in everything around him…the wind, the birds, traffic, as vehicles vroomed by. He would listen to many different genres of music, including the music his dad would create in his home studio and the sound of his mother rehearsing for her upcoming live performances.
This resulted in Micheal having a wide song selection which ranges from music from Sinatra to Chris Brown, from the Beatles to Radiohead and everything in between. He cannot be described with a single genre of music as he is a lover of the art and believes the only limitations we have are those we allow to limit us.
Micheal LIVE came to the virtual world in 2022 and in that short amount of time has performed all over the virtual world in more than 400 live performances in Second Life alone – including the SL20 Year Birthday celebrations and SmokeFest.

Micheal was awarded with the honor of being named Male Vocalist of the Year 2023 at the Soul Train Awards in SL.

He constantly breaks the barriers of time and language with his talent and unrelenting drive. Micheal has sang in different languages and due to the time difference around the world, he was performed at nearly every hour, even 6:00AM. Alongside his amazing team, Micheal LIVE, Micheal does his best to balance his career with his life outside of music, effectively, while dedicating so much of himself to each.
Micheal LIVE has changed the face of live performing in SecondLife as the brand brings the show to the show. This meaning, their performances are made up of not only a singing-performer but a choreographed and spotlighted dance team, stage props and decor, as well as the specific energy to set the mood for whatever setting and theme the event calls for. Also accompanying them is Micheal’s real life band mates to provide a unique sound for your listening pleasure.
None of their performances are the same. The brand tells a visual and audible story, through music and a stage play like- presentation whenever they are on stage.
Music isn’t the only part of the program. Micheal LIVE demonstrates a great level of professionalism and compassion. Promoting through their own vlogging networks, various radio stations and DJ’s, social media and other mainstream outlets, the brand is not hard to find.
